I recently went into Primark and stumbled across a whole new range of products. There were hairdryers, curling tongs, straighteners.. in Primark.. All for under £10! This came perfectly timed as I had been really wanting to buy a curling tong for the summer. After imagining the damage these products could possibly do to my hair I decided that I just really needed to test them out and for £8 I didn't have much of an excuse not to.. so I bought the small curling tong.

The range consists of three types of curler, the small curling tong, a super skinny curling tong and a curling tong that is 1.5 inches thick and doubles as a straightening iron. They also do a hairdryer. I'm not 100% sure if they do any more products, these were the range that my primark had. All of these are being sold for £10 or less.

I have to admit I was pretty terrified of testing these curlers.. I am very protective of my hair and all I could think of what that video of the girl burning her hair off. (VIDEO)...

The first thing that really surprised me was that the curlers heat up so quickly! They were at their hottest within 5 minutes of turning them on. That may seem like a long time but to be honest I wasn't expecting them to heat up at all..

I chose a very discreet section of hair to curl first, after drowning my hair in heat protectant spray. I did it.. all I could say was WOW. I actually called my sister into my room to show her the curl. It was amazing! I held it on the tong for under 10 seconds and I was given this perfect tight curl. I was so shocked! I originally only wanted to go for a natural, beachy look but I got totally carried away and ended up with huge hair!

These curlers are incredible! I have used them a couple of times now and it honestly takes no time at all to do a who head of hair! For the look in the photographs I left each strand of hair on the tong for 6 seconds each (that was all they needed) and it took me about 20 minutes to finish. This includes the time it took for me to section my hair off and brush it before curling as well as hair spraying it.

Of course I don't know what these will be like long term however they are perfect for people who can't afford expensive curlers or are saving for more expensive curlers but want some in the meantime.

Primark have done very well with this new range and I am so happy to finally understand what the craze is all about! I am very tempted to go back and buy the super skinny curlers because, as those of you who know me, I am obsessed with big and curly hair. I am sure I will end up posting my very first tutorial at some point to show off these curlers a bit more as I will be experimenting a lot in the next couple of weeks!

How do I keep my skin looking fresh and glowing over the winter months?

I love the winter months for wrapping up warm in big faux fur coats and having cosy nights in with the fire lit while watching my favourite movies. However my skin hates the winter months. It turns dull and dry and makes me look as though I have never seen the light of day. For previous winters I have always fake tanned to keep my summer glow but this winter I haven't had the time to keep up with it all meaning I have had to take extra care in making sure my skin looks just as good without it. I have done a few things that have helped massively with keeping my skins glow from diet to skincare products to making sure that I exercise regularly enough.
First of all, my diet. I am vegetarian however I do try to eat plant based meals as often as I can, this means no dairy products! - I only drink cows milk with a cup of tea and only the tiniest splash! Other than that I drink plant based, my favourite is almond mi…

I feel it is time for a new beauty post and as I have already posted about my favourite beauty and make up products I thought I would do something a little different for the changing season. One of my favourite things to do on a lazy day is paint my nails. I have always painted my own nails (I've only gotten them done at a salon once!) because I can do them in my own home in my own time while I am watching a movie and eating snacks which you can't do in a salon. Having my nails painted always makes me feel a little bit more glamorous. even on those days when I have not got any make up on or touched my hair.

Summer was great but I always struggle with what colours to paint my nails as I am not the biggest fan of brightly coloured nail vanish so I usually stick to a nude or light pink for the summer. Autumn  however is the best time to give your nail vanish collection an update so I thought I would get together my favourite Autumnal colours that you can wear all the way through…
